You see, Matt Brady (played brilliantly by John Payne) is a returning soldier with hopes of marriage as he marches in the opening parade. The movie begins a bit off-kilter, I think, but if you think of it as a set-up for what a normal life would have been for the main character, it's necessary. But there is, for example, no femme fatale (this is probably not a noir, strictly speaking, even if the dark crime mood makes you think so, but there are lots of noir characters and attitudes). It's a good crime movie, for sure, and believable enough. Don't get me wrong, a mob boss in a small city is going to play tough and have cronies and the like. This is a movie begging to play with clichés, and it avoids them. While the acting and visuals are going to get you immediately, the script will sneak up on you if you are paying attention. This can allow you to consistently damage the demon with minimal risk while not worrying about guard break attacks since your shoulder bash should cancel it even with poor timing.The Boss (1956) This is kind of a great movie, a surprise to me, and with some stunning performances, great photography, and a sterling script (thanks to Dalton Trumbo).

A solo method that I found more consistent (requires shoulder bash) was to hold block and wait for the Crystal Demon to use his ranged moves then using shoulder bash + your own combo to knock him away when he runs at you, rinse and repeat until he's dead.(Short range guard breaker bugs sometimes and keeps the block effect) All of his moves are able to be prevented with an attack. Use attacks when he is about to stomp.

During this, you can repeatedly do 3 hit m1 combos so that you don't knock the boss away. Another way to defeat the Crystal Demon is to have the boss lock on to a friend, then have your friend block every attack.Make sure to use long range moves when you can since if he gets you in a M1 combo it deals quite a lot of damage.You will be able to attack the boss while he is locked on, and he will not change focus. One way to beat the Crystal Demon easily is to have a friend get knocked down, and then have the boss lock on and start trying to eat your friend.For his close range attacks he uses Soryuu Fighting Style. It's recommended to stay close to him so that you can quickly dodge his guard breaker without having to deal with his long ranged attacks. you can immediately dash backwards and out of the attack zone. He will stomp and create crystals surrounding him in a small AOE. Whenever players are nearby, he will use his guard breaker move. It is recommended to block these two attacks immediately upon entering his arena. Next, he will use his 1 mid ranged attack, which looks the same as the long ranged attack but will not go as far. At the start of the battle, he will use 1 long ranged attack, where he summons spikes to protrude from the ground. His moveset consists of 2 mid-long ranged attacks, and 1 short range guard breaker. Defeating him gives you 1000 Yen and 1000 EXP. After defeating him, he will drop a Crystal Essence, which is used to forge a Custom Nichirin (e.g Flames Nichirin, Water Nichirin.etc) and Kamado Nichirin. The Crystal Demon has 1200 HP, and is very hard to defeat with his high damaging moves and big AoE if you aren't experienced. He can be accessed by using a Crystal Key in Okuyia Cavern, to open the door to reach the Crystal Demons Hideout. The Crystal Demon (also known as Lower Moon 3) is a boss in Demonfall.
